Gecko vivarium pet

Geckos are one of the best exotic pets. They are really great looking, friendly and easy to raise in vivarium. Also, they are among the few vivarium pets that can live in groups in your terrarium.

Size

The size your vivarium must be at least 20 gallons. The geckos like to climb on to the highest spot in the terrarium, so build it high enough with climbing spots, and make sure that your pet can’t get close to the light bulb or it will burn itself.

Temperature

Your gecko will feel great if your vivarium temperature is cool to warm from one side to the other, because it will regulate his own temperature. Ideal range is between 28 to 35 degrees.

Floor

The best choice for your gecko vivarium pet is reptile specific carpet or soil. Please be reminded that never house a hatchling or juvenile leopard gecko on sand.

My thoughts

Geckos are perfect for vivariums, they love the water and all the green plants, also they are easy to raise and really fun to play with.

I’m strongly recommending them for your first vivarium pet.
