Lizard vivarium

Lizards are tricky when it comes to building vivarium. The main reason is their desert natural habitat. You have to be sure that you’ll keep the humidity low when you’re making vivarium for lizars.

The best way to do this is to use sand for lizards for main substrate, and plant the plants at their own pot with soil which are placed in the sand, under the surface. This way, you’ll be able to keep the plants alive, like they are living in normal pot, and keep generally low humidity.

Decorate your vivarium with stones, wood and whatever you want. Make sure you have good heating. You may use heating stones, under-tank heating or heat lamps. Lizards are cold blooded animals, so you’ll have to keep their temperature high enough.

Place a shallow dish with water because your lizard will need it to drink and wash himself. Also you’ll need good ventilation to keep the air fresh and not humid.
