Snake vivarium pet

The snake is not common vivarium pet, but it’s a classic choice when choosing exotic pet. Vivariums for snakes must be more like terrariums, with less wet places and a little bit less plants. Snakes are really beautiful animals, and watching the snake eating a rat in the natural-like habitat of your vivarium can be really interesting.

There are couple of factors that you should think about when choosing the snake for vivarium pet:

Some widely spread snakes on the market, like pythons for example, can get really big. So you have to choose the right size vivarium for your pet.

The snake is a cold blooded vivarium pet so you’ll have to keep it’s temperature. This can be done by many different heating devices like heat lamps, ceramic heat emitters, heat rocks and under-tank heaters. Make sure that there is a place where the snake can cool down, this way it can regulate it’s own temperature.

Snakes do need water to drink and wash themselves. So give to your vivarium pet a nice and shallow water tank.

Also your snake vivarium pet will need a dry and clean place

Generally these are the main requirements for raising snake in captivity, but be sure that you build your vivarium with the thought to be comfortable for snakes, not just to be great looking with all that plants and moss.
