Tarantulas and other inverts(insects) are not so common vivarium pets because they can live in much more poor habitat. They are tough animals( especially tarantulas) who don’t need much care and environmental conditions. You can actually raise a tarantula in captivity in plastic box with a little substrate.
For the same reason they will feel great in almost any vivarium, because everything will be better than a plastic cup.
Of course, there are some rules that you must follow when building vivarium for insects, or choosing insect for your vivarium.
