Vivarium plants

Plants are essential part of the Vivariums. Actually they are the main difference between terrarium and vivarium, and it’s vital to use real, not artificial plants in order to have good Vivarium. Living plant are the driving force of the ecosystem in your micro-world.

You can feel free to use any kind of plants in your vivarium except cactus and other plants that can hurt your pet.

I personally suggest that you always put some moss  in your vivarium. Other plants are mainly for decoration, but the moss will keep the humidity always high enough, and will give really nice touch.

Choose plants who like much water, when buying the plants make sure they wont die from too much moisture.  Generally that kind of plants are the exotic and tropic ones.( More information about the different plants in the next Update of the post)

Interesting suggestions for vivarium plants are the carnivorous plants. Thats are plant who eat small bugs. Make sure you’re not having any small vivarium pets near this plants :)

Another really great  looking plants are the plant miniatures and bonsai trees. They give a really nice feeling of small part of the nature in glass box.

I noticed that people really like to put orchids in there vivariums. I actually never used them, but they look great especially the jewel orchids

I can give you much more suggestions, but this will happen in the next post update :)

Use your imagination and make sure that you’ve got enough light in your vivarium in order to keep you plants alive
